Within form sections you can add various different types of form field. Each one has slightly different functionality.
Before we drill down into what each form field does, it's worth touching on the block that appears by default at the top of each form section. This block is called your form-configuration, and is the most powerful part of your form.
Within a form-configuration block, you can edit all that form's variables such as form messaging, background image/colour, opt-in options, redirects, thank you email etc.
Form-configuration blocks can also be persona-lised® so that every persona receives a custom configuration experience. Pretty powerful stuff. For more on the form-configuration block, watch the video below.
Now, back to the other blocks...
Within a form section, each form field is represented by a block. New form fields blocks can be added by clicking the 'edit section' button, and navigating to the "add a field" tab (see below)
Once in the add a field tab, you can choose from a selection of form field blocks that you would like to add.
These include:
Text input: allows a form user to free type text into the form field. Their CRM record will be updated with whatever they type upon form submission
Text Area: allows you to capture longer text such as messages, links to CVs etc
Hidden field: allows you to add a default value into a field in your CRM. Whilst the form user won't see the form field being updated, upon submission, their CRM record will be updated with the information you have added.
*This is good for adding default values such as "newsletter signup" into the source field in your CRM
Drop down list: allows the form user to select from a range of pre-defined options. User can only select one option (formatted as a drop down list). Note, options should be separated by a semi-colon. So if you wanted options to include London, Manchester or Liverpool, this should be written in the input field as London;Manchester;Liverpool
Multi-select list: allows the form user to select from a range of pre-defined options. User can select multiple options (formatted as check boxes). Note, options should be separated by a semi-colon. So if you wanted options to include red, green and blue, this should be written in the input field as red;green;blue
Once added, you can configure the block and once configured, it'll appear in your landing page preview. You can drag and drop the block order so that it best suits your form design. It's also worth noting that all forms/form fields are completely responsive, so you can pretty much use them anywhere, including in iFrames.
Important
Before a form block appears in your landing pages you'll need to map it. This simply means telling Kulea where you want the data in that form field to go in our CRM record. You'll need to name the form block eg. "forename" and map it to it's respective CRM field in your Kulea database eg "firstname".
